Your Support Matters to Students and Teachers

For the 2016-2017 School Year, PET awarded $22,000 in Classroom Impact Grants to 33 projects at 19 schools plus HAVEN Academy. These grants will reach approximately 8,600 students across all grade levels.

PET grants awarded over the past decade total over $148,000, reaching tens of thousands of students.

PET awarded $18,500 in scholarships to 20 members of the Class of 2016 representing all five high schools. Over $126,000 has been awarded in PET scholarships since 1999.

For both the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 school years, PET has awarded $5,000 to Assistive Technology, made possible through the John and Mary Franklin Foundation. Assistive Technology purchased numerous iPads for students with sight, hearing, and orthopedic challenges, and a remote monitoring station for the iPads.

Since 1996, PET has awarded each school’s Teacher of the Year a $100 honorarium, More recently, PET has begun supporting the Counselor of the Year program. Additionally, honorariums are given if a teacher, counselor, principal or assistant principal receives national recognition by his or her respective accredited professional organization.
