Ms. Harriet Morgan, a former Douglas County School System teacher, principal, and administrator contributed $10,000 to establish the Kathryn Milner Shehane Memorial Scholarship!
Several founding Board Members were honored at the reception: Kelly Cochran, Paula McClung, Betty Noland, and Deborah Woody.
Tim Williams, Vice President of Corporate and External Affairs at GreyStone Power Corporation, was recognized for serving over a decade on the PET Board. PET honored several businesses as "Friends of the Foundation" for their generous support of PET. PET Board Chair Lynne T. Former Douglas County School Superintendent Don Remillard, Linda Remillard, Monique Lewis, and Asianna Ware. Ms. Lewis, Alexander High School, and Ms. Ware, Chapel Hill High School, both received a $500 Don Remillard Scholarship.
Two students participating in the College and Career Institute received $300 Nora McDonald Memorial Scholarships.
