Businesses Named “Friends of the Foundation”

PET was pleased to recognize three local businesses as “Friends of the Foundation” for their very generous ongoing financial support of PET. “Friends of the Foundation” in the business category are Assured Comfort Heating and Air Services, GreyStone Power Corporation, and MembersFirst Credit Union.

In the photo below taken at the April 22, 2015 PET Recognition Reception, Board Chair Lynne T. Cole poses with Jerry Hall, Assured Comfort Heating and Air Services, Tim Williams and Gary Miller, GreyStone Power Corporation, and Angie Holland, MembersFirst Credit Union. PET is grateful for the support provided by these outstanding businesses.

PET Honors Three Individuals As “Friends of the Foundation”

As a volunteer-driven organization, PET relies on support from community-minded leaders to fulfill its mission. The Board recognized three of these leaders as “2015 Friends of the Foundation” in the individual category: CPA Clair Eskew, Kenny Duncan, and Dr. Sherri Hintz, each of whom has volunteered countless hours of service to PET. Mr. Eskew is a financial advisor for the Board, and Mr. Duncan and Dr. Hintz coordinate the Annual Teacher’s PET Fun Run. In the photo, Mr. Eskew poses with PET Executive Director Lynn L. Murray at the April 22 Recognition Reception.

PET Receives Generous Grant from Assured Comfort

PET recently received a generous $2,500 contribution from Jerry Hall and Assured Comfort Heating and Air Services. Mr. Hall is a member of the PET Board and a great friend of the Douglas County School System. Here, he presents his contribution to PET Board Chair Lynne T. Cole.

Gold’s Gym is a Proud Sponsor of PET
page5-img2The Public Education Trust of Douglas County was proud to receive a generous contribution from Tom Butler, of Gold’s Gym, on behalf of the teachers and children in the County. With the support of sponsors like these, we can make a real difference in the the lives of children right here at home. Gold’s Gym offered a $300 Leadership Scholarship to a graduating senior from each of the high schools in the Douglas County School System.
Douglas County School System Staff Put Children First
The employees of the Douglas county school system put their money back into kids by alloting a portion of their payroll to the Public education Trust. In fact, the payroll deduction is the largest single revenue stream for the Public Education Trust. Thank you to all of the employees that put education first every day.
The GreyStone Power Foundation’s generous support of the Public Education Trust means that deserving seniors receive some of the assistance they need to attend college. Every dollar puts these kids a step closer to receiving a valuable education. Visit GreyStone Power today for more information on the foundation.
The MembersFirst Credit Union is a proud sponsor of PETVisit MembersFirst for more information.
